The True Story On Resveratrol Supplements

Ever since 60 Minutes ran their now famous piece on resveratrol, showing that studies revealed that this could be a scientific breakthrough that enables human beings to look and feel younger, many have sought an easy and cost-effective way to buy resveratrol supplements.

It has been suggested, too, that it may help in weight loss programs and increase the physical stamina of people who take it.

But that’s not all…

There have also been studies that have shown resveratrol has promise as an effective cholesterol-lowering compound, as well as a tool to help protect against cancer. Okay, so that’s a tremendous amount of benefits. This is pretty powerful stuff, even if, let’s say, only half of those claims are true.

But then the big thing you have to consider is this — if you want to get resveratrol for yourself, how do you evaluate all the different companies making resveratrol supplements?

Try these tips:

The biggest factor is to make sure that the company you’re considering has consistently created high quality supplements. By high quality, I mean a supplement that’s potent enough to give you the full benefits of taking resveratrol. Yes, that sounds obvious, but I wanted to make the point again.

Also, you should realize that the FDA doesn’t put supplements manufacturers under the same scrutiny as drug companies — so resveratrol supplements don’t go through the same quality control procedure as medications do.

To put it another way, you might wind up buying something that says it’s resveratrol but really isn’t. There have been stories reported by the news media that some bottles of resveratrol have been mislabeled. So, obviously you want to ensure that the product you’re getting is really resveratrol. Another obvious point, I know.

I think that one of the smartest things to do is to only choose to get your resveratrol from a company that is first willing to let you try a free sample. It wouldn’t really be too smart to give away a free sample of a product that didn’t work, so this is one of my favorite litmus tests.

Beyond that, use some common sense. The demand for quality resveratrol is enormous. If you see a bottle of it for five bucks, it’s probably not true resveratrol.

So, you’re going to want to go with companies that offer free trials. I wouldn’t start thinking that you’ve gotten an amazing deal because you were able to find some bargain-basement resveratrol.

This doesn’t have to be one of those things that gets complicated and turns into a chore — just pay attention to sites that review these products and you’ll get some good advice on how to choose the one that’s right for you. For instance, go to the sites I link to below, and take a few minutes to watch the videos they have there.

If you want to avoid all the hassle of doing this research on your own, you can just go to that site and you’ll find links directly to companies that meet that criteria.
